Entendre le Monde
is an NGO that provides surgical assistance and ENT medical care in developing countries.
Entendre le Monde was created in 2006 and was founded for the following reasons :
To provide quality care for patients with ear tumors, which may be fatal without surgical intervention, in several developing countries.
To diagnose and provide care for deaf or hard-of-hearing children.
To provide miniaturized screening equipment, making the transport of surgical material possible. Specialized medical materials such as surgical microscopes and micro-instruments are needed to perform these operations.
To ensure quality training for dedicated surgeons, anaesthesiologists, medical personnel and local teams.
To complete missions in developing countries around the world. Over the past 5 years Entendre le Monde has completed 3 missions per year to Cambodia and recently to Madagascar. More than a thousand patients were examined and 200 underwent surgery.
Since its founding, Entendre le Monde’s mission objectives have been very clear
Operate on individuals with the most serious conditions.
Train medical and surgical teams on location, leaving behind autonomous teams after a few years of training.
Diagnose individuals that are hard-of-hearing.
Provide diagnostic and surgical material.
Many countries ask us to begin a mission within their borders. We have the teams of workers and the material.
All we need is funding, an essential element enabling the continuation of our cause. We are unable to begin a mission if we do not have the necessary funds for a mission spanning 10 years.
Therefore we must continue to collect funds through donations, annually organized events and support from our sponsors.
